I came
across your website through a search engine, and thought I would
share this picture with you and see what your opinion is on
this.
This
photo was taken in 1987 or 1988 I was about seven or eight,
anyway we were celebrating a birthday at the time this photo was
taken and never noticed the shape in the wood/entertainment
center when the film was originally developed. My father
was looking through photos about 6 or 7 years ago and
he came across this one and was blown away with what he saw in
the wood. we don't know what or who it is.
The
shelves have been painted (they were painted before we even
noticed this image in the wood) and moved. I ended up with the
shelves at my house about 3 years ago. Well I just wanted to
share the photo with you and see if I can get a opinion on it.
Thanks so much.

The photograph above is
very intriguing, is the grain of the wood creating the pattern?
Anthropomorphize:
To ascribe human characteristics to things not human.
The Anatomy

Structure And Grain Of Wood
Matrixing:
The natural tendency
for the human mind to interpret sensory input, what is perceived
visually, audibly or tactilely, as something familiar or more easily
understood and accepted, in effect mentally "filling in the
blanks."
| As
you focus, the mind may shift from your experience to the
object viewed. The mind fills in the gaps to form a whole
between your experience and the object you see, just as it did
when you consider optical illusions.
In less than a
second, the mind organizes information, while the eyes focus on
one part of the image at a time. researchers
recently found that the human brain processes a whole though a
person takes in only the part on which they’re focused.

examples of optical illusions: |
