My husband took these 2
pictures of my daughter and I walking down Palm Row in St Augustine
FL.
These pictures were
taken by a digital Kodak CX7430 camera, July 10th 2004 at about
12:15am while we walked alone down Palm Row. The approximate
temperature was about 78 degrees and approximate humidity was about 85%.
Palm Row is
off the Lightner Museum area (which is also reported to be haunted).
It is a small Row between two streets (reminds me of an alleyway
with houses on both sides of it) and there is no thru traffic.
It is blocked on each end by cement blocks so nobody can drive down
it, therefore it is very dark and having been walking down it at
midnight it was pitch black dark! That is why I could
rule out lights or anything because there was no lights whatsoever in
that area and we were about halfway down the row when the pictures
were taken.
No, there were no
insects at all in that area (no water nearby either) and it was a very
clear night (IE no fog, nothing-it hadn't rained or anything prior
either). the pictures before and after these 2 pictures were
normal.
My daughter was
clinging to me as you see in both pics because it was SO dark and she
was slightly scared knowing this one particular Row is highly
haunted. I wanted to go down it to see what we could catch on
film! Supposedly a small girl named Emily comes out and wants to
play and there have been sightings of her on the each end of this Row
motioning to people to play with her. Also, the story is that a
carpenter built a house right in the middle of the Row and then moved
his family in and killed them and himself right there with an
axe. The house was said to ooze blood and was very haunted
so they demolished it and now only 3 small trees stand where the house
stood. You walk right past that place where the house stood if
you walk straight down the Row. The pictures were taken about 20
yards from that spot!

The
one below was taken August 20th, 2004 at the front of the fort in ST
Augustine. The picture is very dark (no flash) and the weather
was warm (89 or so with no rain and/or fog). The moon was a
crescent moon and visible thru the clouds but behind me when I
shot it so it can't be the Moon because it's not completely round and
too low compared to the Fort top. There is NO lighting
nearby...but some way to the right and some way behind me and not even
near where this photo was shot. It was taken with my Kodak
CX7430 camera without flash. I immediately saw it in the
viewfinder on my camera and upon downloading it to my computer it
looked rather odd.
